For woodworkers

Your shop footage, posted while you work

Postango was built in a Michigan woodshop. Daniel Flint has run Flint's Woodshop and Laser Engraved Urns for over twenty years, and he built it so the footage he shoots all day turns into finished posts without another night at a timeline. It ran his own two shops for months before anyone else used it.

One real video

A batch of custom hardwood urns from the shop: 2 h 30 min of raw workshop footage in, one 53 s post out. Every cut, every caption and the voiceover were done by Postango. Nobody opened an editor. One batch this long needs the Workshop plan. Starter takes up to 30 min and Pro takes up to 1 h of footage in one batch.

What to film

You don't need a plan, a script or a second person. Set the phone where it can see the work and is out of your way, and let it roll through the parts of the day people like watching:

Stock coming off the planer

Rough boards in, clean boards out. Let the phone run through a few passes.

The glue-up

Clamps going on, squeeze-out, the panel coming together. Let it run, up to the longest clip your plan takes (10 minutes on Starter, 15 minutes on Pro and 20 minutes on Workshop); the Studio won't take a longer one, so start a new clip there. Postango finds the few seconds that matter.

The first coat of finish

The grain coming up under the first coat is the reveal. Film it close and slow.

The finished piece

A slow turn in good light, or a few photos. Photos alone make a post too.

What Postango does with shop footage

  • Cuts a long day down to the good part. Upload the raw clips straight off the phone, out of order. Postango keeps the moments worth watching and paces them like the work, not like a template.
  • One upload, several videos. Every video comes back as a short-form edit for TikTok, Reels and Shorts and a long-form edit, the full version. We also suggest extra clips that would make great standalone posts. Only the ones you pick are made, and each uses 1 of your videos.
  • Writes the post. Caption, title and hashtags, about what is actually in the footage, in your voice. You approve them before anything goes out.
  • Product videos for what you sell. On Pro and Workshop, film a finished piece turning — once low and once from above — and Postango makes the spin video.
  • Posts it everywhere. The same video goes to every account you connect, up to 8 networks for video, on your posting days.

Woodworkers ask

Will it work for a one-person shop?+

It was built in one. Film while you work, upload the clips at the end of the day, approve what comes back. The posting happens on the schedule you set, while you're back at the bench.

Can it keep the sound of the shop?+

Yes. Keep your clips' own sound, planer and sander included, or replace it with licensed music. An AI voiceover is an option too.

What about long jobs?+

The longest single clip is 10 minutes on Starter, 15 minutes on Pro and 20 minutes on Workshop, and one batch can hold up to 30 minutes of footage on Starter, 1 hour on Pro and 2.5 hours on Workshop, every clip in it together.
